Vasectomy possible for a single, 25yo w/ no kids?

Would doctors be willing to perform a vasectomy for someone at this place in life? I've been told they may not want to do perform the vasectomy if the man doesn't have any children yet. I'm just beginning my research on this procedure, but from what I am told, this would really be perfect for my lifestyle/career/goals. Thank you for the help.
