Please help, im scared.?

im 17 years old. last night i was driving, i was stopped at a red light, there was a guy in a white bmw infront of me. i went to put my drink down and my foot slipped off the break pedal and i bumped the guy infront of me. i panicked and drove away and the guy started to follow me but i sped away and even blew a red light (i was scared). i dont know if he got my license plate it was dark and he stopped at the red light that i blew. it happened around 9pm last night. no cops or anything have contacted me or came looking for the car. did i get lucky this one time and nothing will happen? i didnt damage the car at all it was just a slight bump. i panicked. i know what i did was wrong. but is there still a chance the cops will come today or tomrrow? today is mothers day so i dont know if they will come or not...
