From someone who recently lost my 4-legged baby, please find a new vet immediately! It doesn't sound to me as if your vet cares very much and is dismissive. If you are concerned, your vet should be too or at least do more to set your fears at ease. Also, don't wait 48 hrs like someone else suggested. If it is an infection and you wait that long without antibiotics, it could end up being fatal. I hope your baby gets well soon!
